Kohar Inc.(doing business as "Discover Prep", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We operate in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia and applicable federal laws of Canada.
2. No Account Required (Local Storage)
We value your privacy. We do not require you to create an account to use the Service.
- Local Data:Your study progress, test results, bookmarking, and chapter completion status are stored locally on your device's internal memory.
- No Cloud Database: We do not maintain a central database of user profiles. We do not have access to your individual test scores or study habits.
- Data Loss: Because your data is stored on your device, if you delete the App or lose your device, your study progress may be lost permanently unless you have backed up your device (e.g., via iCloud or Google Drive).
3. Information We May Collect
A. Voluntary Contact Information (Marketing & Support)
While the App does not require an email to function, you may voluntarily provide your email address if you contact us for customer support or voluntarily sign up for our newsletter. We use it strictly to respond to your inquiries or send App updates and promotions. You may unsubscribe at any time.
B. Technical & Usage Data
We may collect anonymous, non-personal data to help us improve the App: device type, crash reports, and aggregate App Store analytics. We cannot see who the individual downloaders are.
4. Device Permissions
- Notifications: To send you study reminders. You can turn these off in your device settings.
- Storage: The App uses local storage to save downloaded content for offline study. We do not access your photos or personal files.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
We do not collect or store your credit card or banking information. Transactions are processed directly by your app store provider. You must manage subscriptions via your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
6. Family Sharing
The App supports "Family Sharing." Family access is managed entirely by the operating system. We do not see who is in your family group, nor can family members see each other's progress.
7. Third-Party Links
The App contains links to external resources (such as official Government of Canada study guides). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party websites.
8. Data Retention
Personal Data: Since we do not require accounts, your data resides on your phone.
Email Addresses: If provided for support, we retain it until you request deletion or unsubscribe.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above.
